Alumium Stamping

Metal Stamping Home : Sheet Metal Stamping | Aluminum Stamping

Aluminum Stamping is a process that use dies to transform flat metal sheets (aluminum and steel) into shapes. Odds are you have a product in your home that has parts created through metal (aluminum and steel) stamping because it is a process used in everything from your household appliances to automotive industries. This process is used for producing parts for large machinery, but the metal sheets can also be molded into shapes for household items like pots and pans.

Mechanical and hydraulic are the two types of stamping presses. Metal (aluminum and steel) stamping machines cast, punch, cut and shape metal sheets. To create three-dimensional shapes, a flat sheet of metal is inserted into a die and then a mechanical press is activated to create the object. Sheets of up to 1/4 inch thickness are molded into specified shapes and sizes. Metal, copper, zinc and stainless steel are some of the metals used by companies offering metal stampings.

Aluminum is often used in stampings because of its soft and lightweight properties. It is nontoxic and nonmagnetic, and is about a third as dense as steel or copper. It is has excellent corrosion resistance and durability. Aluminum stampings are very prominent in the automotive, electrical, medical, water treatment, packaging, and electronics industries.

Sheet Metal (Aluminum and Steel) stamping is used in a variety of industries because parts can be turned out at a very high rate and this is good for overall production times and costs.

Trident Resources LP capabilities include precision custom metal (aluminum and steel) stamping presses with speeds up to 1,000 strokes per minute and the ability to produce precision stampings from virtually any material including copper alloys, steel, stainless, and titanium just to name a few. We also offer hot stamping to meet you needs.
